Hi, welcome to ClanDestine !
Just a few things about us and our website we wanted you to know...
ClanDestine started as a way that friends could hook up, share information, plan the best time to slay dragons, and generally have as much fun as possible during our time online. After almost 3 years that goal has stayed the same.
ClanDestine is a linkshell dedicated to people having fun, and the emphasis in ClanD is to have a comfortable place for people to enjoy playing Final Fantasy Online, share information, meet and make friends, plan events, and just plain have a good time. We believe firmly in the idea that on the other side of every keyboard is a real person, so folks here are pretty friendly and helpful, usually with information or experience, but also often with help on quests and missions.
Most of us tend to be pretty independent minded, and usually ClanD people like to explore and try new things. Most members like to get a feel for different jobs or new areas and prefer to find ways to help others than be carried along. Not that we don't all sometimes end up frustrated or in need of help, but usually we are much more likely to ask for skillup parties to get better with our weapons than powerlevelling.
We have never been interested in being the most powerful, or the most wealthy, or the most Uber linkshell on Cerberus and that has helped us stay together where many other linkshells have fallen apart. We are low on drama, high on mutual respect. We also aren’t exclusive. Many members join other groups for HNM battles or Dynamis, but ClanDestine in the end is kind of like a Home Point. Our members are always welcome to explore events and activities outside ClanD if it helps them enjoy themselves.
Nowadays we are mostly comprised of middle and high level players, but if you are a new player please don’t hesitate to ask questions about how to play or what is going on, and don’t be afraid to join in. We all remember when we started and how much there was to learn and do and explore. That is how ClanD came to be, and that is the way we all want it to stay.
The Website and You
If you are new to our website ( Our very cool website designed and maintained by one of our members :) ) take some time to look around and get a feel for some of the information we have gathered. 2 important things to check out are the *linkshell needs* thread to see what quests and missions and items others might also be looking for, and our *calendar*. We have players from Great Britain to California and planning events so that as many people can participate is very important to us.
Don’t be afraid to schedule an event !!! Open a thread, start a discussion, and schedule an event if it seems there is interest. These are great chances for everyone to meet "in person" and not just be names in the LS chat. At worst you will have to reschedule, and every member has had this happen. We all lead busy lives with jobs and school and family and houses and pets. Our goal as always is to relax and have fun, and help each other advance and enjoy the game we all play. It doesn’t hurt either that the calendar helps people do quests and missions as a group instead of trying to do them 9 times individually.
